Inspired by a picture book with rude hand gestures, I wanted to model and rig a hand.

It turned out to be difficult, and I had to scrap my first couple of attempts, but eventually, I arrived at a result I liked.

I made the fist-bump animation for a collaborative Christmas card made by ‘School of Motion’-alumni.

Commonly known as a rock ‘n’ roll salute, this gesture can mean just about anything – from an expression of allegiance to the University of Texas to a Satanic Tribute, and is used in Italy as a means to ward of curses and evil eyes.
